Reviews and Insights
There have been so many release here recently and there are a few that I want to mention.
Timbabland Shock Value II
Shock Value II is incredible for a musical ear. If you are limited to genre, you may not dig this albun however, if you like MUSIC and ART, all I can say is wow. This record is truly a breath of fresh air. Meet in the Middle, Say Something, Time in a Bottle and Can You Feel It are so sick, it is not believable. A Must hear.
R. Kelly Untitled
So, Kels never left, he is just making note of it with his latest effort. Though the record is a burst of SEX, SEX and SEX, it is crafted so well with lots of elements. Kelly is singing again. (YES) R. Kelly states the he is the best and music and it is true... Please check him out.
Insights
Now, let's talk Rihanna, Rated R. This is by far, in my opinion, Rihanna's best album. This girl put together a collection of great songs, recorded great vocals and woo(ed) us with her stylings. Though Sales were Lackluster, was it really deserved? Nope, not at all.
We really need to stop letting everything else effect so much. Rihanna's personal life is not what she does to make money. Putting on shows is so, can we PLEASE focus on that and really look into what matters to us. Rated R is so intense you all. Get in it. The legal way..

Word of the Day
Greetings great people of the world. Furonda and I (Cordero) went to church together today. For me, the whole purpose of church is to receive something that will help me press on through whatever the week ahead throws my way.
Today, the word outlined LOTS of things. One of the MAJOR standouts was, "Handling IT, I-T." What ever it maybe, if it is stunting your growth in any way, HANDLE IT, I-T. The most important person in your life should be you so, think about that as life happens to you.

Miss Lady Last '09 Issue Release Party
I got the chance to go to the Miss Lady Magazine release party for the release of the last issue of 2009. I got the opportunity to have a little chat with Jasmine Kelsey, the Founder and Goddess of Miss Lady. She and I talked about the new additions like; The Superwoman piece, Poetry from men and a Spot on Queen V and her fitness piece. The last issue is really a great read and it is uber informative. http://www.missladymagazine.com/ is the link to the magazine. Please check it out.
Now, this event was full of the city's most important people. Um, The always fabulous Ngozika and Amber were in this place. Late but probably the most fashionable. I also got the opportunity to chat with Jay Muhammad and Linda Thomas, two of the city's most known and most elite!!
Some of the hottest models were at this Release party also.. Chy L., Nivea and Tye M. stayed in their corner all night. Very gorgeous of course, like always.
Ok, you can expect Yana (Jai) to be at everything because she is an IT Girl however, the newest guy out on the Social scene, Justin was out too. He and Yana (Jai) hung out a lot of the night. And Feleke was also. Yes, Feleke, check out his myspace, his music is to die for. www.myspace.com/felekemusic . Just to add a little more, the Other Jasmine of Miss Lady was spectacular as usual. Stacy Gilmore was there and Brittany Smith was right by here side.. Beautiful!!!
For the most part, this event was great.. Great theme, great atmosphere, great people, great entertainment, great food and drinks.. Just Great.. Thanks Miss Lady Magazine

Lights Still Flashing
Lest we not forget Maurice, the creator of Diamond Kelly Designs and his show was just as spicy... Hot models and lots of variety. His collection was very colorful and fun.
This party still was not even near an ending... Rah Howard and his super spunky hype man rocked the stage next and they torn the place down with their hot single "HIGHER'. You gotta get in it..
There were so many Important people there. I will name a few: Jay Muhammad, Angela, Peazy Baby, J. Jamerson, Yanna Janalle, Mr. and Mrs. Parker (they WERE the event) The Oh so spectacular Linda Thomas and last but certainly not least, The Press Play Media Team.
Flashing Lights
The Socialites were out in full effect. One of the Founders of Press Play Media Team, Furonda and the extra fabulous Mia were in the place. Furonda was there in a Romas Design by Linda Thomas. Ms. Mia worked hard painting the faces of all of the Very Important People in the Vice Presidential Suite and this atmosphere was simply Heaven.
Now, not only Furonda and Mia got to experience the Flashing Lights, Suga City came through after their show at the Rev Room and gave an interview to Turner Boi of Haps in the Hood and Furonda of the Furonda Chronicles. The video footage from these interviews will be put up soon. Stay tuned for updates on that.
Still, that was not the end of it. The Fashion show was next. Two Designers were showcased and their model were so great. The first Designer, Nicole, rocked out with a very rocker edge. To put the icing on the cake, the models strutted to Rockstar 101 by none other than Rihanna.
The Press Play Media Team
This is Press Play.(left to right) Robby, Furonda and Cordero.. We are the mavericks of this movement. Please attach to it. We are the business!!!
